_When first entering Lash's Place one will immediately note the decidedly masculine atmosphere. Your first clue might be the lack of any wall space, taken up as it is by pennants, buttons, news clippings and a myriad of souvenirs from the world of sports. Another might be the select reading material, appealing more to a man's taste in fashion, sports, and shall we say, the fairer sex.

But it is Lash himself that sets the tone, and whether it's because of his days in the Navy, or those spent raising a bit of hell as a southern California college student, you'll realize soon enough that he is master of his world and that world remains as one of the last bastions of male camaraderie.

It wasn't long before Lash's became the preferred hangout for haircuts and more. 'More' being Lash Stevenson's unique flair for personal service and customer satisfaction.


The mural depicting some of the regulars way back when. Evident are signs of Lash's dedication to St. Patrick's Day. Good people, good food, and good times mark the anniversary of Lash's Grand Opening, March 17, 1976.

It can still be said that Lash wears many hats. This collection is but one of many that grace the walls at Lash's Place.

Photos of family and friends and autographed pictures of local sports legends adorn the walls. Knickknacks and eye-catching bric-a-brac beg attention as one never knows what may turn up next.

Times have changed, but you'll still find the care and attention you've grown accustomed to at Lash's Place.

And , Oh yeah, Charly Foxe still stands sentinel outside the shop.
